Description
This is an exceedingly rare circa 1930 Greek Air Force officer's leather sword belt with hangers. It has absolutely fabulous details with a variant oval "Greek pilot badge" for the main buckle, as well as the smaller buckles and hangers. This belt was originally owned by Greek Air Force pilot Captain A.W. Paleodswopoulis (the last picture above is reportedly one of him in full dress uniform, wearing this belt). Born in 1902, Paleodswopoulis flew with the Hellenic Air Force before and after it became its own entity, separate from the Greek Army and Navy. He passed away in 196We are selling some other items separately that belonged to the Captain: please see the links at the bottom of this page for more information.
