ARTIFACT:
This is a nice framed circa 1930 photograph postcard of a Greek Air Force pilot. It is a studio portrait, reportedly of Captain A.W. Paleodswopoulis, in full dress uniform. Paleodswopoulis flew with the Hellenic Air Force before and after it became its own entity, separate from the Greek Army and Navy. The postcard is in a frame in pressed tin, cardboard and glass. It has French wording on reverse and was not used save to record the birth and death years of Paleodswopoulis: 1902-1965. We are selling some other items separately that belonged to the Captain, including the belt he is wearing in the photo above: please see the links at the bottom of this page for more information.
