ARTIFACT: This is a nice circa 1930s Pan Am "Clipper" pin. The "Clipper" style plane was popular in the 1930s and the crews even dressed in navy-like garb to bestow a feeling of safety in the passengers, who believed they were traveling in an airborne version of an ocean liner.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 2-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with safety-style catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an early domestic airline company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX9/95 LABEX12/10 S(1)ABEX1/14 S(1)ABEX5/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows some small areas of light wear with oxidation on the reverse only.
