Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare World War II era Japanese officer's sword hanger. This hanger is for a Katana, a samurai type sword, not to be confused with just a dress officers sword, the hanger for which is not nearly as rugged, nor nearly as rare. The sturdy chain is in a repeating figure 8 pattern.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 14-1/4" in length and 1" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Hooks.

MARKINGS:

None.
