Description
This is a Chinese Army officer's sword dating to the 1930s or World War II. The sword is slightly curved, and has a handle decorated in pebbly sharkskin and brass with a lovely embossed floral design. There are two crossed Chinese flags at the top of the handle backstrap.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s World War II.
SIZE:Overall: approximately 38" in length and 3-3/4" in width; sword only: 35-1/2" by 3-3/4"; blade only: 30-1/8" by 3/4" (at widest part); scabbard only: 32" by 1-3/8".
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated steel, brass, wooden handle with sharkskin wrap.
ATTACHMENT:Two rings on scabbard.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The sword has some spots of wear to the blade and tarnish to the handle. There are spots of medium wear and some minor denting to the scabbard.
