Rare 1920s USS D-1 (aka USS Narwahl SS-17) Jacket Patch

This is a rare early 1920s jacket patch for the United States Navy USS D-1, formerly the USS Narwhal SS-1The ship's career spanned from 1909 to 1911 as the Narwahl and afterward as the D-1, until it was scrapped in 192The patch is in primarily turquoise and maroon felt and shows a fantastical sailor's head acting as a periscope.

Circa early 1920s.

Approximately 5-9/16" height and 3-5/8" width.

Multi-piece felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
