Extremely rare circa 1945 original USS Chopper, SS-342 Jacket Patch. Original insignia produced during wartime for plank owners. USS Chopper (SS/AGSS/IXSS-342), a Balao-class submarine, was the only ship of the United States Navy to be named for the chopper, a bluefish common in the rivers of the Mississippi Valley. The USS Chopper was launched on February 4, 1945 with Lieutenant Commander S. Filipone in command.
