Description
This is a rare circa 1920s or 1930s American Red Cross Life Saving Corps Honorable Service medal with three bars. The medallion has a red and white enameled cross within a life preserver. Another ARC medal for first aid from the same period named to a Marjorie Miller came to us along with this medal (please see link at bottom for page for information).
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s-1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-3/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension ring, chain links, horizontal pin on bar with tongue-style catch.
MARKINGS:Bronze Standard Emb. Co. Prov R.I.
