This is a scarce circa 1920s or 1930s American Red Cross First Aid medal awarded to Marjorie Miler. The medallion has a red enameled cross at center and hangs from a bar via chain links. It comes on its original manufacturer's card. Another ARC medal for life saving from the same period came to us along with Ms. Miller's medal (please see link at bottom for page for information).
Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1"in width; card: 2-5/8" by 1-7/8"
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Bronze, enamel, oaktag card.
Suspension ring, chain, horizontal pin on bar with tongue-style catch.
"Marjorie Miler" written on card, Standard Emblem Company, Inc. 7 Beverly Street Providence R.I.
