ARTIFACT: This is a rare 1920s-1930s Citizens' Military Training Corps marksman badge. The National Defense Act of 1920 created the CMTC so that male citizens could receive military training without signing up for the service. The CMTC held classes (camps) each summer from 1921 through 1940. The badge is rectangular and reads MARKSMAN CMTC.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE: About 1/4" height and 2" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Lacquered brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.
