Rare 1870s-1880s Overland Mail & Express Co. Set of Baggage Tags

This is a rare set of two circa 1870s or 1880s baggage tags for the Overland Mail & Express Company. The two flat, brass tags hang from a leather strap. One tag reads O.M. & EX. XO. 230 BAGGAGE CHECK and the other reads O.M. & EX. XO. 230 DUPLICATE.

Circa 1870s-1880s.

About 1-13/16 in width (of largest tag) and 12" in length (including strap).

Brass tags with black painted lettering and leather strap.

Leather strap fits through rectangular slots in each tag and strap has 3-3/4" narrow opening for attachment to luggage.
