ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare 1870s American Express Co. wagon driver badge. The badg shows an imploring dog at center and reads AMERICAN EXPRESS COMPANY WAGON 218.

VINTAGE: Circa 1870s.

SIZE: 2-1/4" height 1-15/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: N. STAFFORD 66 FULTON ST. N.Y.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Badge shows a few spots of moderate wear but has a nice overall luster.
