This is an extremely rare 1870s American Express Co. wagon driver badge. The badg shows an imploring dog at center and reads AMERICAN EXPRESS COMPANY WAGON 218.
VINTAGE:Circa 1870s.
SIZE:2-1/4" height 1-15/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with "C" catch.
MARKINGS:N. STAFFORD 66 FULTON ST. N.Y.
