ARTIFACT:
This is a World War II Chinese Order of the Cloud and Banner 6th Class medal, as awarded to members of the American Volunteer Group. The award was started in 1935 and is given out for deeds to promote Chinese national security. The medal is a series of overlapping starbursts: one of brilliant blue, supported by a white one in a textured scallop shell design, which in turn is backed by a finely detailed silver starburst. Clouds peek out from behind the white star and one single orange star graces the top of the medal. The center of the medallion shows a yellow banner flying.

Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-3/16" height and 2-3/16" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Silver with multi-colored enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Loop for attachment.
