ARTIFACT: This is a 1963 Freehold Racing Association press badge for the Freehold Raceway in Freehold, New Jersey. The raceway has been running since 1853 and has both thoroughbred and harness racing. The badge shows a horse's head beneath a red horseshoe and reads PRESS on a banner at the bottom. The badge is numbered on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa 1963.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single post with clutch-back.

MARKINGS: 1963; 30 on reverse.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The badge shows virtually no wear.
