ARTIFACT:

This is a 1965 official badge for the Freehold Raceway in Freehold, New Jersey. The raceway has been running since 1853 and has both thoroughbred and harness racing. The badge has a low number (17) on reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1965.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/16" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single post with clutch-back.

MARKINGS:

1965; 17 on reverse.
