This is a numbered 1891 Massachusetts Volunteer Militia marksman badge by Shreve, Crump & Low of Boston. The pin has a bar that reads MARKSMAN superimposed upon MVM and has a bullet pendant dated 1891.
VINTAGE:Circa 1891.
SIZE:1" height and 1-5/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal T-style pin with "C" catch and three loops for pendants.
MARKINGS:SHREVE, CRUMP & LOW BOSTON 4263.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX08 LFEX 5/10 SFEX9/14
CONDITION:7+ (Excellent): Pin shows some light wear and has an overall handsome tarnish.
