This is a Nice Circa 1910's New Orleans, Louisiana Special Officer Police Badge. The badge shows "Special" on the cut-out star at center, and "Officer" on the star. Instead of the more typical "circle star" design, this impressive badge has a head-turning "crescent" star design.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" in width x 1-5/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated nickel with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
