ARTIFACT: This is a Nice Circa 1910's New Orleans, Louisiana Special Officer Police Badge. The badge shows "Special" on the cut-out star at center, and "Officer" on the star. Instead of the more typical "circle star" design, this impressive badge has a head-turning "crescent" star design.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in width x 1-5/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated nickel with painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: N/A

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine - Very Fine) Light wear, moderate patina, heavier on back.
