This is a NASA Apollo XVII Beta Cloth Mission Emblem. The mission launched December 7, 1972 with crew members Cernan, Evans and Schmitt. Apollo XVII was the first night launch.
VINTAGE:Circa 1972.
SIZE:About 7-1/2" in width by 7-1/2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed Beta Cloth, the same material used for the outer skin of the space suits.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:9 (Excellent-Near Mint): In wonderful condition, uncut; some residue left on outer edges of cloth apparently from being taped to something at one time (see image below).
