ARTIFACT:

This is a Rare NASA Apollo XVII Beta Cloth Mission Patch, from the Final Moon Landing. The mission launched December 7, 1972 with crew members Cernan, Evans and Schmitt. Apollo XVII was the first night launch, and the final Moon Landing Mission.

VINTAGE:

1972.

SIZE:

About 7-1/2" in width by 7-1/2" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Printed Beta Cloth, the same material used for the outer skin of the space suits.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto Spacesuit.

CONDITION:

9 (Excellent-Near Mint): In wonderful condition, uncut; some residue left on outer edges of cloth apparently from being taped to something at one time (see image below).
