Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a NASA Apollo XIV Beta Cloth Mission Emblem. The mission launched January 31, 1971 with crew members Shepard, Roosa and Mitchell. This and all the other NASA Beta Cloth Patches that have the tape reinforcement on the edges all came from a News Reporter who covered the Space Launches back in the day. They are all oversized, so they could be cut down to remove the "border", and a fabric specialist could also most likely remove any of the tape and residue if so desired.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1971.

SIZE:

About 7-1/2" in width by 7-1/2" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Printed Beta Cloth, the same material used for the outer skin of the space suits.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto space suit.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a NASA Beta Cloth Patch Collection which we will be listing more of over the Coming months. RBEX04 LAJJX2/09 SPRC02/09 SLEGEX12/13/25
