Description
This is a NASA Apollo XIII Beta Cloth Mission Emblem. The mission launched April 11, 1970 with crew members Lovell, Swigert and Haise. Apollo XIII is the famed mission that was crippled by an explosion two days after launch causing the crew to endure difficult conditions from constraints of power, cabin heat and drinkable water. However, they were able to successfully return to Earth on April 15, 1970 and eventually had their story made into a blockbuster movie.

SIZE:About 7-1/2" in width by 7-1/2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed Beta Cloth, the same material used for the outer skin of the space suits.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.

CONDITION:9 (Excellent-Near Mint): In wonderful condition, uncut; some residue left on outer edges of cloth apparently from being taped to something at one time (see image below).
