ARTIFACT:

This is a NASA Apollo IX Beta Cloth Mission Emblem. The mission launched March 3, 1969 with crew members McDivitt, Scott and Schweickart.

VINTAGE:

1969.

SIZE:

About 7-1/2" in width by 7-1/2" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Printed Beta Cloth, the same material used for the outer skin of the space suits.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto Spacesuit.

CONDITION:

9 (Excellent-Near Mint): In wonderful condition, uncut; some residue left on outer edges of cloth apparently from being taped to something at one time (see image below).
