ARTIFACT:
This is a Rare NASA Apollo XV Beta Cloth Mission Patch. The mission launched July 26, 1971 with crew members Scott, Worden and Irwin. This mission was the first moon landing termed J mission, which meant that the duration of the stay was longer with a greater focus on the science of the mission.

1971.
SIZE:
About 7-1/2" in width by 7-1/2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Printed Beta Cloth, the same material used for the outer skin of the space suits.
ATTACHMENT:
To be sewn onto Spacesuit.

CONDITION:
9 (Excellent-Near Mint): In wonderful condition, uncut; some residue left on outer edges of cloth apparently from being taped to something at one time (see image below).
