This is a 1880s named fireman badge from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Hook & Ladder Co. No. The badge belonged to William H. Reed, a foreman, and is nicely engraved with ladders and stars.
VINTAGE:Circa 1880s.
SIZE:Approximately 3/4" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with painted details, brass pin.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge is in great condition with some very small spots of wear and light tarnishing on its reverse.
