Description
This is a stunning circa 1890s delegate badge for the Fireman's Association of Pennsylvania (FAP), organized in 1880. The badge is in heavy gold fill and blue enamel and was made by the C. G. Braxmar Company of New York. It has a small enameled keystone at the top and a terrific action scene in relief below. The scene shows billowing smoke and three horses hurriedly pulling an engine with a driver and a fireman in tow.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-7/16" in height and 1-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Heavy gold fill on brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with C catch.
