This is a circa 1880s New Haven, Connecticut Hook and Ladder Company No. 1 honorary member badge. The badge is by Cairns & Brothers, a New York maker. It has eagle at the top and reads HONORARY N.H. H. & L. CO. 1.
VINTAGE:Circa 1880s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with painted details.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick-pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:CAIRNS & BRO. NEW YORK.
