ARTIFACT: Lovely medium-sized Clan Johnstone (or Johnston) badge in sterling silver with an Edinburgh 1949 date stamp. Clan Johnstone was a family of the Scottish Lowlands. The garter encircling the winged spur at center reads "NUNQUAM NON PARATUS" which translates to: Never Unprepared.

VINTAGE: Circa 1949

SIZE: Approximately 1-15/16" x 1-5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with jeweler-made locking 'come under' catch.

MARKINGS: "SCOTLAND", Edinburgh silver/date marks
