Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1910s or 1920s badge for Clan Johnstone, a family of the Scottish Lowlands. The badge is silver-plated and was made in Scotland. The garter encircling the winged spur at center reads NUNQUAM NON PARATUS (Never unprepared).

VINTAGE:

Circa 1910s-1920s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-15/16" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver-plated.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal T-style pin, C catch.

MARKINGS:

MADE IN SCOTLAND.
