This is a circa 1900 badge for the Scottish clan MacLachlan. The badge is silver-plated and shows a castle at its center. The badge reads FORTIS ET FIDUS (Strong and faithful) along the belted border.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 1-15/16" in height and 1-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal T-style pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
