ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1900 Scottish clan badge for Clan Lamont of the Highlands. The badge displays the clan's motto "Ne Parcas Nec Spernas" ("Neither Spare nor Dispose") upon a garter encircling a raised hand. The badge is in nickel and was made in Great Britain.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1900.
SIZE:
Approximately 2" in height and 1-3/8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Nickel.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal British kick (Y) pin with tongue-style catch.
MARKINGS:
MADE IN GT BRITAIN.
