This is a patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army 81st Division, also known as "Wildcat". The DI is round with a black border and shows a black cat against a golden background.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBX05 LBCX9/11 SBCX2/14
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows only some light wear with a blemish on reverse and a few marks under the enamel.
