This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army 31st Infantry Division, also known as the "Dixie Division". The insignia is white with a red border and shows two red capital Ds, spine to spine.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
