ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States 5th Armored Division, nicknamed "Victory". The insignia is a tri-colored triangle and shows a tank track, cannon, lightning bolt and the number 5.

VINTAGE:

Circa late World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAX12 LCEX11/12

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows little wear.
