ARTIFACT:

This is a patch for the United States Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) Ingham WHEC-35 (HEC stands for High Endurance Cutter). The Ingham was launched at the Philadelphia Navy Yard on June 3, 193She was decommissioned on May 27, 198The patch reads PARATUS IN PAX ET BELLUM (ready in peace and war).

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1970s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.
