This is an early 1970s patch for the United States Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) Chase WHEC-718 (HEC stands for High Endurance Cutter). The Chase was launched at New Orleans, Louisiana on May 20, 196She was decommissioned on March 29, 2011 and transferred to the Nigerian Navy. The patch reads NO CHALLENGE TOO GREAT.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 5" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, mesh backing.
