Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a submarine patch for the USS Patrick Henry (SSBN-599), a ballistic missile submarine. The Patrick Henry, named after the famous patriot, was launched at Groton, Connecticut on September 22, 195She was decommissioned in 1984.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1970s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-1/4" in height and 3-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT:

None.

MARKINGS:

None.
