This is a 1970s United States Navy submarine patch for the USS Tecumseh SSBN-628, a nuclear ballistic missile submarine. The ship was launched June 22, 1963 from Groton, Connecticut and decommissioned in July 199The patch bears the motto UNITED FOR FREEDOM.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 5-3/16" in height and 3-7/8" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.
ATTACHMENT:None.
