ARTIFACT:

This is a gold-filled late 1960s tie bar by Morgan's for United Airlines' "100,000 Mile" Club, arguably the first frequent flyer club. The clip shows a supersonic aircraft circling a globe.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1/2" in height and 1-11/16" in length.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

1/10 10 karat gold-filled.

ATTACHMENT:

Clip.

MARKINGS:

1/20 (partially obscured) and MORGAN'S 1/10 10K on back of bar; MORGAN'S on clip.
