ARTIFACT:

This is a 1950s lapel pin by Morgan's for United Airlines' "100,000 Mile" Club, arguably the first frequent flyer club. The pin is a petite wing showing an airplane circling a globe at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 3/8" in height and 13/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS:

MORGAN'S.
