ARTIFACT:
This is a gold-filled 1950s lapel pin for United Airlines' "100,000 Mile" Club, arguably the first frequent flyer club. The pin is a petite wing showing an airplane circling a globe at its center.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1950s.
SIZE:
Approximately 3/8" in height and 13/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
1/10 gold-filled.
ATTACHMENT:
Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:
1/10 GF M (Morgan's?).
