Late 1950's Boston Globe Newspaper 25 Years of Service Lapel Pin by Robbins

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late 1950's twenty-five years of service pin for the Boston Globe newspaper. The pin is gold-filled and is by Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. The pin shows the Globe's rotund gentleman character, Uncle Dudley, at its center and its enameled border reads QUARTER CENTURY BOSTON GLOBE.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1950's.

SIZE:

Approximately 9/16" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-filled with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS:

1/10-10K "r" (Robbins Co. maker mark).
