ARTIFACT:
This is a great World War II Unites States Army Air Forces 14th Air Force shoulder patch with a white ("snow back"e;) variant. The 14th Air Force replaced the China Air Task Force, which itself had earlier replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "e;Flying Tigers"e;). The patch shows a winged tiger and a white star.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-9/16" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Fully embroidered in silk/cotton threads.
