Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late 1960s jacket patch for the United States Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) Point Baker. The Point Baker was commissioned on October 30, 1963 and moved to Port Isabel, Texas. In late 1966 she assumed a new homeport of Port Aransas, Texas. Designed for an eight-man crew, the ship was awarded three Coast Guard Unit Commendations and a pair of Meritorious Unit Commendations in her almost four decades of service .

Circa late 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, twill backing.
