Description
This is a circa late 1950s (Cold War era) jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces 6091st Reconnaissance Squadron. Initially activated as the 6091st Reconnaissance Flight on December 1, 1953, the 6091st assumed its title upon December 20, 1954, and served throughout East Asia. The squadron was deactivated in 196The patch is Japanese-made, and shows a single eye at the top presiding over a knight seated upon a horse.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1950s (Cold War era).
SIZE:Approximately 4-7/8" in height and 3-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk thread, partial mesh backing.
