Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a submarine jacket patch for the United States Navy's USS Bergall SS-320. The patch shows a fish in pirate costume on the ocean floor with a missile in its mouth.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1950s.

SIZE:

About 5-1/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Blue felt patch embroidered in multi-colored silk/cotton threads with muslin backing.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

8+ (Excellent): The patch shows only light wear and has excellent coloring.
