Description
This is a circa 1880's - 1890's jeweler made Livingston family heraldic brooch in enameled silver. The brooch, which comes in its original maker's box from Edinburgh, Scotland, is the Livingston family crest enameled in red and green showing three flowers encircled by an ornate border of green.
VINTAGE:Circa 1880's - 1890's.
SIZE:Approximately: Brooch: 1-1/16" Square: Box: 2-1/16" square x 7/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brooch: silver with enamel; Box: leather-bound cardboard brass, silk, velvet.
ATTACHMENT:Brooch: horizontal pin with C catch; Box: hinge, locking catch.
MARKINGS:Brooch: none; Box: DAVID CRICHTON FROM JAS. CRICHTON & CO. 89 PRINCES STREET EDINBURGH (inside) and K (outside).

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The brooch shows some small areas of light wear and tarnish, and box is in very good condition as well.
