This is a German-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 409th Infantry Regiment. This insignia reads STEADFAST and show star and cactus at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1945-1950.
SIZE:1-3/16" height and 15/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold plated-brass with blue and white enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:C. POELLATH S. CHROBENHAUSER.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDX99 LIEX 4/10
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Insignia shows light to medium wear and has great coloring.
