This is a German-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 407th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a blue crest with a bow and a quiver of arrows at center and reads AUX ARCS (to the longbows).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II occupation period.
SIZE:1-1/4" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
MARKINGS:L. CHR. LAUER NURNBERG.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): DI has some very light wear and tarnish.
