This is a German-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 16th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a blue and cream shield with a repeating interlocking design and a crossed sword and arrow.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II era.
SIZE:1-1/8" height and 7/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:L. CHR. LAUER NURNBERG.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine-Very Fine): DI has some small spots where paint is missing and some handwriting on reverse.
