This is a 1945 first edition hardcover copy of "Silversides", the story of the USS Silversides (SS-236). Launched August 26, 1941, Silversides went on fourteen Pacific World War II patrols, earning her twelve battle stars. The book was written by Robert Turnbull and printed by Henry Holt & Company.
