This is a rare double submarine launching ribbon for the USS Picuda SS-382 and the USS Pampanito SS-383 from Portsmouth Naval Yard on July 12,194The ribbon bears the slogans: First-Boats-Build-In Building Basin" and "Will soon be on her way to avenge the sneak on Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941". Both submarines earned six battle stars for World War II service.
VINTAGE:Circa 1943.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in width and 6-5/8" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed silk.
